Senior Manager, National Industry Engagement

Scott has been involved in water/wastewater, utility infrastructure, and industrial construction for over 25 years. He is the senior manager of national industry engagement for Garney Construction, headquartered in Kansas City.

Scott leads Garney’s presence in national water / wastewater and A/E/C industry organizations. Along with continuing his own decade-long involvement, he supports Garney employee-owners looking to make their impact in our industry. These touchpoints include industry associations, committees, boards, conferences, exhibits, abstracts/presentations, and panels.

Scott’s responsibilities also include continuing his advocacy for water / wastewater infrastructure and collaborative delivery methods, as well as being a liaison between Garney and key engineering and supplier partners.

His industry involvement outside of WCDA includes current and previous roles as a board member and committee chair in: Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA), national and regional; American Water Works Association (AWWA), national and regional; and Water Environment Federation (WEF), national and regional.

Scott is a frequent presenter, panelist, and moderator at national and regional water/wastewater meetings and conferences, including: WCDA, ACE, WEFTEC, and DBIA.
