Dom Bennett

Education & Events Coordinator

Dom brings more than a decade of leadership experience across public administration, organizational development, and workforce strategy. He currently serves as director of talent management at Metropolitan Community College – Kansas City where he leads district-wide talent strategy, integrating talent acquisition and development to strengthen workforce outcomes and the employee experience across the organization. Prior to his work in higher education, Dom spent more than 12 years in government administration with the City of Lee’s Summit in the Water Utilities Department and the Missouri Department of Mental Health. Earlier in his career he held branch and customer service management roles in the banking sector before founding an organizational development consulting practice focused on strategy, governance, and executive leadership.

Dom is also an active voice in the water sector. He has been a speaker and panelist at numerous industry conferences and events and is a graduate of the inaugural cohort of the American Water Works Association and WaterNow Alliances Transformative Water Leadership Academy. In 2024, he was recognized as a recipient of the WaterNow Emerging Leader Award for his contributions to leadership and innovation in the water sector.

He holds an MS in organizational development psychology with a concentration in executive leadership and a BS in business administration management. Dom remains active in civic leadership and currently serves as chairman of the board of directors for Missouri Central Credit Union and as a member of the boards of Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce and Lee’s Summit Cares.
