About Steve Gates

Steve Gates is a retired environmental engineering design and construction project executive with 45+ years of experience in collaborative project delivery methods, including design-build contracting and program management. During his career, Steve managed completion of heavy civil projects across the spectrum of environmental engineering, including hazardous waste site remediation, potable water supply, stormwater management, air pollution control, and wastewater treatment. The wide array of projects he helped design and build include reservoirs, dams, landfills, biosolids management, waste incineration, pumping stations, control systems, treatment plants, and pipelines, with a total value well in excess of $10 billion.

Steve is a former board member of DBIA and a past president of WCDA. Steve has a BSCE from Tufts University and is a licensed professional engineer and board certified environmental engineer (retired).
