About Sherman Papke, PE

Sherman Papke is the chief technical officer for Metro Water Recovery, overseeing the engineering, comprehensive planning, and environmental services and compliance functions for an organization serving a population of 2.2 million in the Denver metropolitan region. Sherman has a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. He has worked in both utility leadership and engineering roles for public utilities since 1989, including two years of service with the City of Los Angeles and 35+ years of service with Metro Water Recovery. Sherman is also a licensed professional engineer. His main interests include capital project delivery, sustainable wastewater treatment approaches, and resource recovery opportunities.
