20th Anniversary Platinum Sponsor Highlight: Haskell

Jeremy McVey, senior project director at Haskell, shares why Haskell joined WCDA and their thoughts on collaborative delivery’s influence and future.

Haskell joined WCDA to further our commitment to collaborative delivery as a better way to design and build critical water infrastructure. WCDA represents a community of owners, designers, constructors, and industry partners who share a common goal: improving project outcomes through alignment, transparency, and trust. That mission closely aligns with Haskell’s founding mission, an integrated design‑build approach, and our belief that early collaboration leads to better technical, schedule, and cost certainty for owners.

WCDA has served as both an advocate and a learning platform for Haskell. Through WCDA, we have strengthened owner engagement, shared best practices, and stayed at the forefront of evolving collaborative delivery models. The organization has helped reinforce owner confidence in collaborative delivery methods and provided opportunities for meaningful dialogue that directly support successful project execution.

Over the past two decades, collaborative delivery has shifted from a novel alternative to a trusted and increasingly preferred approach for complex water projects. What began as a method focused on risk transfer has evolved into a culture centered on shared goals, data-driven decision-making, early contractor involvement, and life cycle value. Owners today are more informed, teams are more integrated, and collaboration is now viewed as essential—not optional—for delivering resilient infrastructure.

What excites us most is the growing role collaborative delivery will play in addressing aging infrastructure, regulatory pressures, sustainability goals, and workforce challenges in the water sector. As projects become more complex, collaboration will be critical to delivering innovation and certainty. WCDA will continue to be an important forum for advancing these conversations, shaping best practices, and supporting owners and teams as they embrace the next generation of collaborative delivery.

Haskell is proud to support WCDA’s 20th Anniversary and appreciates the organization’s leadership in advancing collaborative project delivery across the water industry. We value WCDA’s role in fostering education, consistency, and trust among all project stakeholders.
