WCDA is very grateful for the generous support of our symposium sponsors. Our nine gold sponsors took some time to reflect on why they joined WCDA and what excites them most about the future of collaborative delivery in the water sector. Thank you to American Cast Iron Pipe Company, Arcadis, Brown and Caldwell, CDM Smith, Ferguson Waterworks, HDR, PCL Construction, Rice Lake, and U.S. Pipe for taking the time to share your enthusiasm for WCDA and collaborative delivery.

AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company

AMERICAN joined WCDA to be part of a community that is actively improving how critical water infrastructure is planned and delivered. As a manufacturer with a long history in the waterworks industry, we recognize that the success of our products is closely tied to the success of the overall project. WCDA’s emphasis on collaboration, early stakeholder engagement, and shared outcomes aligns with our commitment to supporting owners, engineers, and contractors in delivering resilient, long-lasting infrastructure.

What excites us most is the shift toward more integrated, life cycle-focused decision-making. Collaborative delivery creates space for better alignment across stakeholders, leading to improved project outcomes, reduced risk, and more sustainable infrastructure investments.

Through our involvement with WCDA, AMERICAN aims to contribute practical, experience-based insights, particularly around material selection, constructability, and life cycle performance to help inform those early project decisions. We see our role as both a technical resource and a collaborative partner, helping advance delivery models that ultimately benefit communities and utilities for decades to come.

Arcadis

Arcadis joined WCDA to actively support and advance collaborative delivery as a best-in-class approach for solving complex water challenges for our clients. As owners face increasing regulatory, funding, and infrastructure pressures, Arcadis sees integrated models like CMAR/CMGC, early contractor involvement (ECI), and progressive design-build (PDB) as essential to delivering better outcomes with greater cost certainty, schedule reliability, and stakeholder alignment.

WCDA provides a valuable platform to share lessons learned, help shape industry best practices, and collaborate with owners and partners to elevate how projects are planned and delivered. Arcadis’ involvement reflects our commitment to working transparently with clients and partners to achieve successful, outcomes-driven projects.

Arcadis is most excited about the growing momentum behind collaborative delivery across the nation as the preferred model for addressing increasingly complex water infrastructure needs. These approaches enable earlier alignment, innovation, and risk-sharing ultimately leading to more resilient, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions for communities.

Through WCDA, Arcadis is helping advance this evolution by contributing real-world experience, supporting education and advocacy, and partnering with owners to refine and scale collaborative practices. Arcadis sees WCDA as a catalyst for accelerating adoption, strengthening owner confidence, and ensuring collaborative delivery continues to mature as a high-performing standard across the water sector.

“The future of water infrastructure depends on how well we collaborate. When owners, designers, and builders come together early, we create stronger alignment, manage risk more effectively, and ultimately deliver better outcomes for communities. WCDA is helping move the industry in that direction, and we’re proud to be part of it.” – Peter Tymkiw, Senior Vice President, Arcadis

Brown and Caldwell

Brown and Caldwell (BC) joined WCDA in 2006 to participate in a water-focused association of like-minded firms and individuals invested in leading the advancement of collaborative delivery. WCDA brings together owners, practitioners, and industry partners who share a commitment to improving project outcomes through transparency, collaboration, alignment, and best practices—values that closely align with how we serve our clients as owner advisors, design partners, design-builders, construction managers, and program managers.

BC is excited by the growing maturity of collaborative delivery and its expanding role in addressing complex water resources and infrastructure challenges. WCDA plays a critical role in shaping guidance and policy, sharing lessons learned, and building owner confidence in these delivery methods. Our involvement allows us to actively contribute to that evolution—helping translate best practices into practical, owner-focused solutions that lead to better projects.

“As a long-time contributing member, BC is proud to sponsor WCDA’s 20th anniversary, and we appreciate WCDA’s continued leadership in strengthening collaborative delivery across the water sector.” – Rich D’Amato, CEO, Brown and Caldwell

CDM Smith

CDM Smith is a founding member of WCDA and joined because we believed early on that collaborative delivery would play a critical role in delivering complex water infrastructure more effectively. WCDA has provided a platform to conduct research, advance best practices, share lessons learned, advocate for collaborative delivery, and help owners adopt delivery models rooted in collaboration, transparency, and trust.

Collaborative delivery continues to gain momentum as owners seek better cost certainty, risk alignment, and outcomes on increasingly complex projects. WCDA has been instrumental in that progress, and CDM Smith is proud to have supported the association through sustained leadership, including three WCDA presidents—Pete Tunnicliffe, Pat Gallagher, and Tom Visosky. We remain committed to advancing collaborative delivery through research, education, best practices, advocacy, and active participation in WCDA’s mission.

Congratulations to WCDA on 20 years of leadership and impact. It has been an honor to support the association from its founding and to contribute to its continued growth and influence across the water sector.

Ferguson Waterworks

Ferguson Waterworks chose to join the Water Collaborative Delivery Association because WCDA’s mission aligns closely with our commitment to advancing innovative, efficient, and collaborative approaches within the water and wastewater industry. As a trusted partner to municipalities, engineers, and contractors, we see tangible value in supporting industry best practices that improve project outcomes, strengthen collaboration across the supply chain, and deliver long-term value to our customers. WCDA provides a respected platform for education, shared expertise, and thought leadership, allowing us to both contribute to and learn from peers who are shaping the future of collaborative project delivery. By participating in WCDA, we reinforce our role as an engaged industry leader dedicated to helping owners and practitioners successfully plan, execute, and deliver critical infrastructure projects.

What excites us most about the future of collaborative delivery in the water sector is the clear evidence that it is simply a better way to build—driving improved project outcomes, more satisfied stakeholders, and stronger long-term value for owners and communities. The industry is increasingly seeing that early alignment, transparency, and shared accountability lead to fewer surprises, better cost and schedule certainty, and infrastructure that performs better over its full life cycle. Ferguson Waterworks is excited to be part of this momentum and to bring our supply chain expertise to help sustain and accelerate these gains. Through our involvement with WCDA, we aim to encourage earlier and more meaningful supplier engagement, strengthen collaboration across project teams, and support the broader mission of advancing collaborative delivery while positioning Ferguson as a trusted partner and thought leader in this evolving delivery model.

HDR

HDR supported the initial formation of WCDA (formerly known as Water Design-Build Council) for the same reason we remain an active member today—to further collaborative delivery research and education efforts in support of meeting all our water sector infrastructure needs through a focus on delivering better projects together.
